Questions (we love them)
As early as possible — more lead time means more room for design, refinement, and production, especially during peak season.
Your stationery is best ordered in stages, but I'm always happy to tailor the timeline to suit you.
Invitations, RSVP and details cards should be mailed to your guests at least three months prior to the wedding. This gives guests time to respond to your RSVP (your RSVP date should sit at least one month before the event date, to ensure there's enough time to organise any on-the-day stationery).
On-the-day stationery — menus, seating chart, welcome sign — can't be finalised until your RSVP date has passed and your guest list is confirmed. These are ordered last, usually about a month prior to your event, to allow time for printing, delivery, and any last-minute changes.
Work from a guest list spreadsheet — one invitation per household, not per guest. I always suggest ordering a handful of extras for keepsakes, last-minute additions, or photography on the day.
Standard turnaround is around 2–3 weeks from the time wording is confirmed. Custom illustrations, specialty finishes, or larger signage can take a little longer — I'll always flag the timeline early.
Custom digital proofs come once your booking is placed and we've moved into the design stage. For a sense of my style beforehand, @jessie.jpgs is the best place to browse recent work.
